Oriental rugs need additional care when they’re fixed up and cleaned. That’s why we suggest our professional oriental rug cleaning at our off-site rug cleaning facility in NYC. At our workshop, we can be more thorough than when doing our in-home area rug cleaning service, which includes the same service detailed above in Carpet Cleaning.
Our off-site oriental rug servicing allows us to safely remove dirt, pet urine accidents and odors through our state-of-the-art machinery - leaving you with a clean rug without the risk of damage. We also are able to re-stitch and repair any holes, burns, or time-worn wear and tear.
When Washing:
To start with cleaning your oriental rug we come to you, and pick up your oriental rug from your home and bring it with us to our Rug repair and cleaning facility, where we have state of the art machinery to gently but deeply clean the rug.
To begin, we run the rug through our gentle rug duster which removes dry dirt and debris.
Then, if applicable, we apply our special organic material treatment which will remove and sanitize any pet-related odors.
Then, we put carefully place your oriental rug in our automatic washing tub, which gently agitates the rug while our refined cleaning solution safely removed any dirt that was sitting deep within the fibers of the rug.
We then remove the rug from our washing cycler and give it a final hot and then cold water rinse to clean off any solution.
Your rug is set to dry in a climate-controlled environment until it is completely air dried.
Last, but not least, we hand deliver the cleaned and stitched oriental rug to you!

We Utilize An 11 Step Rug Cleaning Process:
1.Inspection
We inspect the front and back of the Oriental Rug and take pictures of it, documenting any areas of concern the customer tells us.
2.Dry Soil Removal
We use a Rugbadger™ (de-dusting machine) to gently remove any dry dirt and debris from the rug. This machine allows us to get rid of anything that might prevent a more thorough cleaning later on in the process.
3.Color Testing
We test for color bleeding and crocking.
We test the rug for long-term color bleeding and crocking. These things tell us whether or not the rug requires any additional work, stitching, or color repair.
4.Fringe Cleaning
We clean your fringe by hand.
We clean the fringes by hand. The edges of your rug are sure to be the most delicate part, and the hanging fringes require extra care to ensure each fiber is cleaned of debris and discoloration. If necessary we re-stitch affected areas,
5.Shampoo
We use a Cimex Rotary shampoo machine with shower feed brush to clean the front and back of the rug.
Using our rotation machine we are able to thoroughly apply cleaning solution to the entire rug. Then, by hand, we are able to shower clean the entire rug, focusing our gentle scrubbing on affected areas.
6.Rinsing
We thoroughly rinse your rug.
We use a warm and then cold shower head to remove any and all remaining substances that are on your rug. At this stage we are able to give a final and complete assessment on the state of the rug.
7.Grooming
We groom the rug, set the nap, and align the fringe by hand.
Our In-house stitching crew now review the state of the rug carefully and groom the rug so that it presents beautifully when dry.
8.Drying
We drape the rug on specially designed drying poles & realign the fringe before drying.
Our specially designed poles are set so that the rug does not lose shape when drying, and is able to completely air dry without exposure to debris.
9.Post Inspection
2 technicians inspect the rug for spotting and fringe.
Our specialty workers give the rug one last thorough inspection to ensure that the specifications made by the customer have been met. If they have not been then the rug re-enters the cleaning process at whichever stage is necessary to deliver the product desired.
10.Vacuum Rug
This step helps remove grooming marks and other dry soils that might have worked to the surface.
We use out specifically oriented rug-drying vacuums to remove any water or deep debris that could have possibly escaped inspection.
11.Roll Or Fold
Tie and/or wrap for delivery.
We wrap up your rugs and hand deliver them back to your home. Easy-peasy.
